For Universities & Institutions

When you teach a skill, your students should be able to practise it that week.

Psychology curricula are strong on knowledge and thin on practice infrastructure. PractitionerLab adds the missing layer: simulated, repeatable, feedback-rich practice for the applied skills you already teach.

The problem you already know

Your students can explain reflective listening in an exam. Performing it with a hesitant, deflecting client is a different competence — and currently, most students first attempt it in peer role-plays that feel artificial or exposing, or in internships where the stakes are already real. The gap between knowing and doing is where new practitioners lose confidence.

What PractitionerLab adds to your curriculum

Targeted practice, on demand.

When you teach open-ended questioning this week, students practise open-ended questioning this week — with AI-simulated clients modelled on realistic presenting concerns, available for unlimited attempts, privately.

Structured feedback on six competencies.

Every session generates a report grading Active Listening, Reflective Responding, Empathic Engagement, Open-Ended Questioning, Avoiding Premature Advice, and Emotional Exploration — with specific strengths, development areas, and one focus for next time, drawn from the student's actual transcript.

Visibility for faculty.

Rubric-based reports give you evidence of skill development across a cohort — not just attendance at a role-play.

Designed for where Indian psychology education is going

Practical, applied components are no longer optional in Indian higher education. PractitionerLab is built to slot into that shift: it operationalises outcome-based education for applied skills, moves students up Bloom's taxonomy from understanding to application and analysis, and produces rubric-based assessment evidence for the competencies your programme already values. Simulated practice complements — never replaces — supervision, internships, and faculty judgement.

Where we are, honestly

PractitionerLab is in early validation. Over 1,000 practice sessions have been completed by psychology learners, and we're now looking for a small number of founding academic partners to shape how simulated practice best integrates with real curricula — which skills, which sequence, which assessment structures. Founding partners get direct input into the product roadmap and priority access as institutional features develop. We'd rather co-design this with a few serious departments than sell a finished box to many.

A conversation, a demo with your faculty, and if it fits — a scoped pilot designed around your programme.
